Since 1992, Red Shed Christmas Trees has been bringing the finest trees and decorative greens to inner-city Portland. This family owned and operated business is run by Nadya and Drew Burchette, who work closely with family members and neighboring farmers to select the best trees and products to bring to retail. 

Nadya's father Hans Elze, of Elze Tree Farm, was the original inspiration for this business. Hans developed his passion for agriculture in Germany where he was born and raised. He eventually made his way to Canada and then America where his dreams of owning a farm finally took roots in 1977. He has been raising trees and running his wholesale tree business in Molalla, Oregon for over 30 years now.

Nadya began this retail business while studying to become a Veterinary Technician.  While there have been various employment and life experiences, she has always made this Christmas Tree business her priority. Being the farmers daughter, Nadya has worked all aspects of this business. From planting to harvest, Nadya brings her enthusiasm and knowledge to this final phase of retailing.

Drew Burchette signed on in 2003 and officially became co-owner of Red Shed Christmas Trees when Nadya and Drew became married in 2005. His good humor, talents and business sense have been great contributions and have provided a welcomed breath of fresh air to the business. Little did he know, that Christmas would never look the same again.
